Introduction to Training Manager
Audience: All Training Users
The purpose of Training Manager is to allow an organisation to retain records of training received (or to be received) by individuals to ensure and demonstrate compliance with training requirements within an organisation at both corporate and individual levels.
If defined Training Manager automatically generates emails which prompt the Trainee to take required action in relation to a Training Record. The application sends the Trainee emails prompting required action prior to any future training date, until the trainee has confirmed their training record.
Training Manager also allows Training Records to be created and maintained for users who do not work for the organisation. Their training records can be Auto-Confirmed, or Training Administrators have the ability to confirm Training records on their behalf separately.
Major Functional Areas
Training Records
This is your register for all your training records logged within EQMS Training Manager. By default, all records will be displayed:
- If the user logged into the system is a Trainee, only their own Training Records can be searched and displayed
- If the user logged into the system is a Training Manager, they can search and display all Training Records
- If the user logged into the system is a Training Administrator, they can search and display all Training Records, as well as delete any records with a Status that is NOT Confirmed
New Training
Here is where you can raise training records for a Single User/Trainee. Multiple training records can be raised for a single user at once.
New Bulk Training
Here is where you can raise/schedule training records for a single course against multiple Users/Trainees.
Previous Bulk Training
Like New Bulk Training, here you can raise training records for a single course against multiple Users/Trainees. However, this is intended for creation of records for training that has occurred in the past.
Reports
Key reports for the module are held in this area. This includes the Training Matrix
System Admin
For module admins only. This area is for the creation and maintenance of key data required to run the module, including: Training Categories, Training Providers and Metadata Fields
Courses
Accessible by Training Course Owners, this area is for the creation and maintenance of your training courses. Here you can create new and amend existing courses, associate relevant documentation and create quizzes to help with competency checks.
